Well, obviously it got too hot. The exhaust side of the engine is always the hottest, because that is where the burnt gases are exiting the engine. Could be a lack of coolant, but more likely, is was probably from a lean condition.
When was the last time you did a plug check?
Riding at one RPM for too long is detrimental to your engine if it is not jetted correctly! This is one of the reasons why you are supposed to vary the RPM's while breaking in a new motor. This gives you a little extra protection till you can get the motor broken in enough (seat the rings to the cylinder) to do a plug check.

What kind of premix oil are you using, and at what ratio?

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS do a plug check to make sure you are jetted correctly.

i run pro honda oil 32:1
i always thought it ran rich cause it fouled plugs pretty quick
when it did run during acceleration about mid range i would kinda make a crackling noise
and when deccelerating it would sputer
and when it blew up i was going down a road about half trottle the whole way

You can run lean in any throttle position.
Sounds like maybe you were too lean on the needle position.
Clip/needle position determine rich or lean condition at 1/2 throttle.

With your new carb, you will have to start all over on getting it jetted correctly.

Get the right size pilot jet 1st, then adjust the air screw for a crisp throttle response.
After that, do a full throttle plug check to check for proper jetting on the main jet.

After that, play around with clip position till you get a strong pull through the midrange without hesitation (lean condition), and without blubbering (rich condition).

Now do a plug check at half throttle with a FRESH WHITE properly gapped plug.
You want a brown paper bag color on the white insulator.

Then you should be good to go!

JH Racing is actually Johnny Hale, tell him Brian Smith sent ya!!
I'm running the AirStryker 38mm I got new from Johnny, it's an awesome carb! He'll probably give you a bunch of jets to if you ask him.
