Some companies make it a habit of denying claims the first time submitted. Read your policy and go over everything. When you call them to talk also send a follow-up letter. Keep all records of communication. Time, Person, supervisor, etc. If in your policy it claims to cover this item Send a copy of the line item to them as well.

The last resort is to tell them you will be talking to the Insurance Commisioner of the sate. Every State has one and they oversee and give approval of all insurance companies. If they don't start jumping open a case withthe state and things should start happening pretty fast.

On a by the way note:
1. All rates are submitted to the state for approval.
2. Insurance is HIGHLY regulated so that a insurance company is only allowed to have so much profit in one area of business. Home offsets, auto, offsets boat so on and so on.

Hope that helps, sorry for your loss.

Man, that really bites. Sorry to hear that. Take Smitty's advice about the insurance to heart. Play it right to the end. It don't cost you nothing.

Metallikev, did you tell the insurance company about the priceless stamp collection, jewlery and home entertainment system that was also stolen (wink, wink).
