I have a 2001 Rancher (1500 miles) and while riding in the U.P. I notice that my rear shock is toast, it isn't stiff anymore very bouncy and allows for some SRINGING action. I do ride it like a "sport quad" sometimes over whoops and all so that may have something to do with the failure. Has anyone bought any aftermarket shocks (Fox)or am I stuck ordering the stock one from Honda.... Im sure there isn't much available since its a utility quad.......

Sounds like you have blown the seals. Try Works Performance. I'm not specifically sure about the Rancher, but they have shocks for many utilities. They would probably build you some even if it isn't a stock item.
