Whithin the last year ive been riding motocross, and my front shocks, are absolutly junk, all there is left is the spring, and i have the shocks se to the stiffest setting, i only weigh 130lbs so i know weigt isnt a factor. Did the shocks blow out because of motocross riding or are they defective?

I would say normal wear due to MX'ing. MX'ing is very stressful on any machine. Your suspension takes most of the beating.

It is definetely the mx. Even aftermarket shocks should be rebuilt about once a year. I just had my TCS fronts rebuilt from Legacy and I was suprised how much better they were. I guess they must have been getting worn out.

I have had a few friends with 400exs with blown shocks. They are all pretty heavy guys and do alot of jumping and high speed stuff in the dunes.

My shocks compress very easily, and bounce up fast, they are also on the stiffest setting, so, tommorow im going to order a set of works tripple rates with remote resovours.

Ive never seen oil leaking, but if I jump on the front bumper, the shocks almost bottom out, and i only weigh 130lbs.
