I have a Prairie 650 & the differential vents are under the handlebars to stay away from moisture. I have had mine spew out oil all over my engine. Freaked me out until I figured it out. Hope this might help.

that is alot of miles. but my 350x is still on stock gaskets from 86 and that has ungodly amount of miles. it could be a breather vent. have you ever flipped it over??

The valve cover on the rancher is O ring sealed, if there is any damage to the oring or debris at all they won't seal. Another words barring a cracked/warped head or cover, take the cover off and get a new Oring for it. If the dealer adjusted the valves get him in the pants till he pays for the oring too. If it's a cracked or warped problem you have other trouble coming up.

Did you over fill it last time you changed the oil? To much oil will raise oil pressure and blow seals. How long did you run it twith high oil? Try draining all the oil then refilling with new oil. If it still leaks then take the head off and put a new gasket in it.
