can anyone help solve my problem, my 200es runs fine but after so long the battery goes flat, the battery is brand new, which part of the electrics is responsible for giving charge back to the battery?

Under the cover on the left hand side there is a stator. You may have a broken wire running to the battery for charging or the stator isn't putting out enough power. Better get a service manual and check it out right.

do you mean on the crankcase cover or the cdi cover, and thanks for replying.

I'm not really sure on that engine. It should be behind your flywheel. on the left hand side. I'm not sure how much of the enging has to some apart to get to it, but it shouldn't be much.

The Crankcase cover (lower) the CDI cover doesn't have anything but a rotor behind it.

It could also be the rectifier that is bad. The rectifier changes AC current (what the stator puts out) to DC current (what you battery uses). This can cause the battery not to charge. If you check the stator and output is good, look to the rectifier.

thanks for the help guys, i have a donor bike to take the rectifier off, i`ll let you know if works,

That is correct. Remember left of the bike while you are on it. There should be two coils under the flywheel. One is for the lights!
