I was out in a gravel pit the other day and My R would climb allright then all of a sudden half way up it would fall out of the power band . I was wondering if wore out Reeds or low compression would cause it to do that?

i had this same problem out in the dunes and i think it was the float level in the carb it was bent down and not letting enough fuel into the bowl. id be full throttle and almost to the top of a dune and the bike would just bog down. make sure that the float level is set at ... i think 16 mm. take a look in your clymer manuel to get the exact measurments

Nope! Bad/worn-out reeds and/or low compression isn't your problem. Start with your carb like elsancho suggested.
