I just found a totally stock 250R for 3400. Should I go for it? Or is that too pricey? Its in great shape,and was only rode for about 5 times out of the year.

Depends on year. Although, even a '86 is high. Stick to the $2,000 +/- rang.

PS. My '82 total stock, except top end was done 2 years ago. I am 3rd owner, it was $700 and its in GREAT SHAPE!

Its a quad,not an ATC. The TRX250R. Its an 86 i think,I'll go check.

You didn't say, so I assumed it was a atc. I just sent my dad a link for a '86 Suzuki 250r quad racer, new tires, pipe, brakes, etc. and new top end for $1700 hope this helps.

oh thanks.....hmmm it IS a little pricey. I'll see if I can talk him down to 2700.

the reason that the lt250 is so cheap is that it didn't handle good at all, and the frames bent right in front of the engine(i've seen it happen)
