What about the new 250 Ozark. I think it is the best looking little utility made. If he likes the Suzuki's tell him to wait and see if he likes the Ozark when it comes out. If he don't he will probably find a good deal on a left over Recon by then.

Lotus through the trails I bet you could run it over because it is strictly no fast trail riding machines. I get beat by small bore machines through the trails until it gets to an open field...... And your REcon isn't that stock either

The guy who owns the Quadrunner also has my old Yamaha 200 Moto-4 (totally stock). He would be the first to tell you that the Yamaha blows him away too......

When you say you can take any Recon, you are not stock either.

The simple fact is, a 400 pound bike with a 250 will likely be much quicker than a 550 pound bike with a 250. 4 strokes that is.

You're crazy. The Recon does not have 250 cc it has I think what 229. The more the machine weighs doesn't specifically mean it will go quicker. The hop ups on my Zuke dont really add extra speed they just add a little more zip to it.

Read again. The LESS a machine weighs, the quicker it will be. The only thing that will change your top speed are taller tires or different gearing. The Quadrunner may have a slightly higher top speed, but by the time it gets there, I will be long gone.

You're right. I was just impliying that the Quadrunner is faster but you are correct the Recon will launch harder.

Default RECON vs. Quadrunner250?

Ozark hands down, i have a 2002 Ozark and i love it to death. My friend just got a brand new 2004 recon, and the ozark is ahead of that in almost every category. More top speed, acceleration, better suspension, ect. The ozark is the better all around quad. These opinions are mostly bia's, your in the Honda forum thats why most response's are for the recon.

Default RECON vs. Quadrunner250?

yea, well my 1991 quadrunner will beat a 2001 recon, My friend up the road has one and he thought he could beat me like the rest of you guys but when we raced I had mine in 4wd high and I beat him, not by much just like 5 feet. And when we go on runs through the trail I always have to tow him out cuz hes only got 2wd and I have the coise of 2wd high, low and super low or 4wd high low or super low or diffential lock super low, the quadrunner is just better
