Can you tell a difference in the power by installing a Jet Kit in your ATV. I was also wondering if they were hard to install because I'm thinking about getting one for my 250x. I'm trying to add some power to it. If you know anything about it please help me out.

 

Usually when you put different jets in you make some kind of modification to the air comming in or out like with a K&N filter or an aftermarket pipe. Are you adding any mods?

 

I just baught the 250 a few days ago and I was just trying to add a little more power to it and decided to try to put a Jet Kit in it. I was just wondering if it would change in power and if they are hard to put in.

 

jets kits are crap. just go buy the jet you need from your dealer. dont make the mistake I did.

hey coolhuh? how much do you like your Z400 over the 400ex's? just curious. wanna hear from someone that has both.

I like the Z400 better than the 400ex.
The Z400 has more power and I think it is a cushier ride.
The 400EX handles great but does not have the power.
I was riding at the dunes the other day and my wife was following me on a 400EX, I jumped off mine and got right onto the 400EX just to see the difference. I did not stay on the 400EX for long. Less power plus I think the Z400 is more comfortable and easier to throw around.
The 400EX is nice but thumbs up to the Z400. My wife also agrees.
I sold a banshee to get the Z400. The Z400 does not compare in power but overall it is a great quad, but would like more power.

Well what would be a wise selection for me to get to give me more power?

 

get a air filter and aftermarket pipe and then go get the jets you need. no use buying 20 jets that you will never use.
