some of these seem a little far fetched to me.i have yet to see a quad go perfectly straight on two wheels for 2 miles.i'm sure alot of you can truely ride a wheelie for two miles thats easy but keeping the quad going tsraight ona paved road for 2 miles now thats awhole new ball game.

I can ride one about longer than anyone in my lil ol town IF i can keep the tire pressure right, it seems like everytime i get on a good straight stretch where i can go for a long time my quad always wants to go off to one side. I'd say in a good straight stretch of asphalt with the tire pressure even i could go about 1 1/2 miles or so.

I can never go more than 1/2 a mile on the road because I would go into the ditch. uneven road and broken up roads(welcome to nova scotia!) I once went on an airstrip, and went for 2-3 minutes in 3rd, than 4th gear on the 400ex. 5th gear is trickier, but doable. I can shift from 1rst-5th on the 400ex and keep it up untill I run out of room. On my new raptor, I can only get from 1-3rd gear threrw a wheelie. The 400ex is the best show off quad for wheelies. 300ex is good too, just slower sped and less power. Oh, and the bigger and heavier you are the easier wheelies are. I am 6'3" and 220lbs, and have long arms+legs, so I can hang way off the back for 4th and 5th gear wheelies. My 6'1" 160lb friend can bring up the front end up in 5th on his 400ex, but only for 2-5 seconds. and people who are 5'6" and 140lb can hardly get the front wheels up in 5th(in my experience) they are fun and challenging, but in 4th and 5th, they are especially dangerous, and even more so on the raptor. I can't imangine a 6th gear banshee wheelie. maybe wheelie, but not a catwalk. freaky powerband.

I can walk my ZRX for about 1 & 1/2 miles up to about 110 mph. Of course, the speedo registers when the front wheel hits the ground. I have a friend that can ride a wheelie on his ZRX for 2 or 3 miles. He shifts gears while walking it. I am just now starting to shift. I can walk a quad for as long as I can keep it on the trail & there is a trail to keep it on. The only thing more fun than a wheelie is jumping!

i cant get the front end up lol. i rode this morning and tried doing the half-shift thing and then revving it up and then shifting but all it does is rev and sit still. i think i gotta adjust the shifter so i can shift easier with my racing boots on. can anyone give me tips for wheelies on a 250ex?

On the 250ex for me it is easier to find one gear(ussually 2nd or third)Stand up and lean back.Punch it and she will come right up)Once I get it up I ussually go pretty slow. But I have got her almost topped out before on a wheelie.(then myt sister started yelling at me)It is her bike.

At first it was hard to shift while on a while with the 250ex.IT just seems like it takes to long to get into the next gear. But after a while I got the hang of it.

For me atleast I have to be able to shift while on a wheelie. My dad can do them really really slow. But I can't do that.I have found it is easier to go fast while riding a wheelie than slow.

Hope I helped a little bit.

Well I do now.But at first it was easier to just put it in one gear and go slow.Just get the hang of slow easy one's and then start trying to shift.

a guy that i ride with can ride a wheelie on his banchee 1& 1.8 of a mile, on a curvy rode. You can steer your quad in a wheelie by leaning the way you want it to go.
