250r thumb throttle way stiff! Please help
#1
I finally got to hook my throttle cable up to my new 38pwk
carb. The throttle is reallllly stiff now.
I heard many roomers on what to do to make the throttle
easier. Cut the spring, file the spring, play with the spring, or use the stock carb spring?
What should i do. The throttle is alot stiffer than any other R i have rode.

First, remove the little spring inside the throttle housing and lose it.
Next, don't cut the spring length, not good. You can take it out, put something inside it to help hold it and then "file" it down using some sandpaper.
Make sure the cable has no kinks or hard turns in it. If the cable is not new, lube it good and make sure there aren't any frayed ends, etc.
