Dirt Wheels tested the Z against a Raptor and said the Z won. In my opinion Dirtwheels probably got paid off to say such bull. I have been telling you guy for months now that by 2004 Honda will come out with a machine that will put the Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Canondale, and Bombardier in its just a figment of your imagination status.so stop complaing about this stupid Suzuki and just sit back and watch death of the atv world brought on by one.....HONDA ha ha ha ha ha ha ha (evil)

the price drops at the dealer should be saying something. my local dealer is selling 2003 400ex's for 5,300 out the door and thats with out even talking them down any. the owner pulled me to the side and said honda has something coming. so i asked him what was coming. he said by this time next year the 750ex will be on the dealers floors. he said it will do 105mph out of the box(i will believe that when i see it). but i do think it will be sweet if they do update with a higher performance sport quad!!!

Hey Thrash, Exactly what do you think the Raptor has over the Z. They are a little faster in 4th and 5th gear and that is about the only advantage they have over the Z. The Z will outhandle any Raptor I've ever rode and is a bunch more stable in rough terrain. I paid 5099.00 out the door for the Z and I very seldom see wide open in 5th gear. My opinion is the Z is better than the Raptor in every aspect except for wide open long straights and in the dunes. And it's cheaper to boot. I also like the EX but the extra power, reverse and liquid cooling were too much to pass up. I ride extremely rough technical trails and the reverse is a godsend. If Honda does come out with a new quad it won't be a bunch faster than whats already out there just like a stock Raptor isn't a bunch faster than the little Z400. But it will be reliable and will have reverse and liquid cooling. And the only problem with my Z I've had is a brake spring.

Little400,

Do you really have ALL of those quads? C'mon man. 2 DS's, 2 Raptors, and 2 Z's. not to mention one of each is set-up as a KILLER dune machine. If so YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!!!! if not. BASTARD!!LOL!!

I agree fully with the honda is over rated comment.

I have ridden with many hondas and I am still wondering where best on earth comes from.

Problems i see are brakes, shifing to reverse, engine.

I have many hours on a 250R and it is one of the best overall, but in speed and power it doesnt hold a stick to todays big bores or suzuki's Zilla.

Honda Owners are really protective and over rate all there stuff.

Bombardier is the BEST ON EARTH and its because of them and there DS650 that bikes like the raptor and Z even exsist.

Bombardier is the most under rated atv on the market. Give it a few more years and they will lead the industry in sales and customer satisfaction.
