Is it ok to use a clip master link on a 400ex?

The stock chain is n "endless" chain. Does anybody run a clip type masterlink on there 400ex?

I haven't swapped my chain yet, but I believe you will have to cut the stock one off. I would recommend putting an aftermarket clip type chain on. Thats what I plan on doing.

If you get a chain breaker you can just press 2 pins out and throw a master link in there. No big deal. Then again when I replace an endless chain I don't take the time to push the pin out. I get out the disc grinder [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] .

Why do they say not to use a clip type master link on a new chain if your bike came with an endless chain? What chain do you guys recomend?
