recon rear brake help
#1
I have a 2001 honda recon. when I use the rear brake foot pedal it seems stiff and stays down locking up my rear braks. The rear brake hand lever works fine so I don't think the problem is in the rear brake. All the springs are on the pedal and they are not broken. I tried spraying the pivit joint and the pedal with WD40 and worked it back and forth. That seemed to work for a little while but it started doing again in about a day. I tried to take the pedal off but I'm not sure if the is a clip ring or something holding it place.
Has anyone ever had this problem? Thanks for any advice.

Oh no!! I hope this doesn't happen to my 2001 recon. Actually my rear brakes are still excellent like the day it was bought. Bought i can't say the same for the fronts unless the bike was sold without any.
Anyay there is an adjuster for the foot brake lever on the rear brake housing maybe that got all screwed up on you.

The adjuster works fine with the hand brake so I didn't think that would be the problem. There was some slack in it the first time that I adjusted out. It just seems like the foot pedal is really stiff and doesn't want to move freely.
