Hello, I am just wondering about the difference between these two on top end. Will the warrior run off and leave the 300ex on longer back country roads? Or is it close enough that there really isnt that much of a difference?
Thanks Steve

We have a 300 now, and I rode a Warrior for years. The Warrior has 50 more cc's, so it will win a drag race. But, that's not the whole story. The Warrior has poor suspension, and handles like a CLUNKER. Our 500 lb Rancher handles better than a Warrior!! The 300 has good (not great) suspension, and is probably (in terms of handling agility) the best trail bike there is. Around here, you can get a (new!) 400EX for the price of a Warrior, and a 300EX for the price of a 250EX.

My old Warrior smoked my friend 97 300ex. Even with my 20" tires on it. My Warrior handles good for me, I rode his ex and it also handle well. The ex does have a better balance point though.
