Rubicon Plow
#1
I bought an 03 Rubicon and plan to install a plow, to be used with the Warn winch. Any suggestions on the best set up to use and best manufacturer to go with? I am looking for durability most of all. Any ideas, let me know.

Last year I put a 48in Cycle Country manual set-up on my Rubicon. I love it. It didn't take much to assemble if you have even basic abilities. Goes right on to the existing bolts holding your skid plate on. Seems to be very well built for my average needs. Had no problem pushing 8-10 in heavy wet snow into pretty good size piles. I prefer the manual vs. winch; it's quicker and the plow can be lifted with just a finger or two without any noticable strain after clearing numerous driveways.
I did a search on these forums for other input on plows - Moose also had ecxellent reviews and comments.

The heaviest plow setup I've seen is on the Moose plows. The blade itself is really sturdy. It's heavy, and that keeps it from riding up on wet packed snow. The mount bracket that I got is 3/16 plate steel and bolts onto the frame in place of the front skid plate. I have the 50" blade, but the Rubicon can easily handle the 60". If you have wide open spaces to plow, go with the 60". If you have small, more confined spots to plow, the 50" works great.
