I recently got a new 300ex. It is my first quad and i only new how to ride semi auto quads. I learned to ride in no time and its no hassle what so ever. You just need to learn your clutch. I rode my friends 250ex and if you do trails that quad is to light for huge hills and stuff so i would a 300ex or a 400ex.

Get a 300 or a 400. Learning to use the clutch is a piece of cake. The hardest part is starting out from a dead stop in first gear. Once you are moving, there is nothing to it!
Plus an added advantage is hill climbing and drag racing. With an automatic, you don't have the freedom to downshift when you want to, and when racing, you have an advantage with a manual versus an auto when getting the higher rpm's in aech gear.
