Kickstart for 400ex

does anyone no how to get a kickstartt for the 400 so i can take off the extra weight of the electric. Or does anyone know someone that would custom make one?

Rumor has it that IMS is working on one, but I haven't seen anything yet. Seems like it would sell though, for serious racers who want to eject 20-30 Lbs.

I dont think its worth your time trying to do that, the electric start assembly couldnt weigh no more than a couple pounds. Plus it would be a real bear kicking it, just keep it a simple easy push of a button. just my 2 cents

Actually, the cases are already made to accept a kickstarted because of the fact that they were based off of the XR400 cases. I heard that someone was trying to design one, but that was over 1 year ago and I have seen nothing yet. I do know that the electric starter is very heavy and most racers would much rather have a kickstarter. When Doug Gust first raced a 400 he was hitting the battery when the shocks bottomed out, so I definitely see that as a turn off for racers.

does anyone have a website with a prototype kickstart on it or something like that?
