well the titains are better in the mud, haven't had them for winter yet though. dad has the old bear claws, and they are 3 years old and still have good tread. my brother paid $89 a tire, 26X11-12 and 26X9-12 (same for all 4) this is in cdn money. that's about $50 a tire in u.s funds, but the place is in N.B. canada, but if you were on a trip, close by it is worth the stop!!! trust me!!!

What kind of bike are you driving??
I will agree with rincon, The 589's are a good all terrain tire, but i have never used them so that is just what i've heard. I have bearclaws and they are a very good and popular tire around here in new brunswick. The 27 inch rear tires have a 1 1/8" deep lug and the front are just 1". Also mud bugs, or gators are well rated all terrain tires.

the 27" and below ones would be good......but they are geared more towards pure mud riding. the 27" bearclaws are an excellent all around tire, i just think the titains are better in the mud, but i could be wrong, i've never seen the new deep lug 27" bear claws perfrom in the mud yet. i think the titains clean out better in the mud though.
i know what you mean about the bear claws, they are on every bike!! what part of N.B are you from?? i'm from riverview.
