400EX Clutch Cover??

The XR400 engine has a quick change clutch cover on it , so why could'nt you use the cover assembly ($150.00) on the 400EX??
This would be a more cost effective way other than the hinson quick change cover ($410.00) I think
unless you just wanted the look of the hinson cover .
the only obvious diferance is the hole for the kick starter but you should be able to use some sort of freeze plug or something to seal it off.
What are some of everyones opinions on this subject??? I was just curious
