Fuel Injection Questions
#1
OK
Suppose that I use the RC30 engine and Blaster frame as originally planned.
With the extra weight of the fourwheeler engine, do I have to make any altercations to the fuel injectrion system or will it do well as it is.
I know that carbed engines are fine as they are but werent sure about the fuelinjected ones.
If I do have to make modifications, how much can I expect to pay?
Thanks

Another Genius post from the Capt'n... For a person that claims as much as you do, you sure don't know much about engine or fuel injection tuning.
SirClip, I assume the ECU is also controlling timing. When you add weight, the timing curve will need to be less aggressive. It will also likely want more fuel sooner, there will also likely be other changes that need to be made, depending on the complexity of the software in the ECU.
So to answer your question, if you want this machine to run to it's potential, yes, tuning will be required.
Too many people believe in the myth that fuel injection is completely self compensating.. Not true in the least.

Gabe,
Every time I read one of your posts regarding fuel injection, I understand why I leave that stuff up to the guys in the back.
Now.....If I can just talk you out of one of those tricked out TPIs to put into my S-10, we would be all set.
