Well if your even a decent rider you almost never have to get off, turn..apply throttle, and wow your turned around.

<< I ride almost exclusively trails/woods and if I couldn't get my **** off the machine and turn it around then I don't deserve to ride it. >>

ive personally havent ever ridden an ex or an r but ive seen both of them preform at the same time at the same place in the woods and the r is by far what i would prefer, just a few weeks ago i was looking at an r to buy but it was priced way to much for my back pocket so i couldnt get it. As far as "in the shop" is concerend one of the guys i race with has one and i have never heard of his locking up, or heard of it being a "maintenance" machine. He runs harescrambles with me and he jumps and stuff like that. By far the R in my opinion is what to get.

P.S. opinions are like as$holes everyones got one.

I like my EX, but when you get right down to it, and you don't ride trails, the R is better. I have ridden one. It was very fun in the sand.
