Im not from the states but besides California is there not 49 other states to sell bikes to?Does California call the shoots to have a bike stopped being produced?Polaris and Yamaha make 2 strokes why not Honda?I can't see Honda not making the CR Moto Cross bikes just because of one California thinks they blow to much smoke!

The 2 stroke restriction issue in California & Florida where I am from is the reason I sold my 1 year old 1100 jetski & got into the ATV seen. Too many restrictions.

From the way I understand it, it should not affect racing. As I read it, it says only that no new 2 strokes can be sold at dealers.

Funny, they blame us for pollution when a 747 burns 1,000 gallons of kerosene on takeoff. then dump extra before landing. Food for thought isn't it!

Don't we live in America?

We are supposed to be free, but every day our freedom slips away.

It starts with little things, like wearing a seat belt. How can we be free when we HAVE to wear a seat belt!

it gets bigger. They tell us what ATVs we can ride. Where we can ride. What type of boat motors we use.

Then it grows again, our 2nd admendment rights are slipping. Our 1st admendment rights are slowly going away!

Are we free?

If two strokes are being banned in california whhat about snowmobiles? If the ban spreads the snowmobile industry will die. I have ridden sleds for 15 years, I got out of it and went to quads 5 years ago I do not regret it one bit. If 2 strokes are to be discontinued it sucks but this sport has been changing. There are more trails popping up everywhere every year for atv's and a two stroke machine is just not trail friendly. higher rpm + More noise = Pissed landowners. We do not want this to happen we don't want to lose what we already have right? As far as emissions that is a bunch of BS the rec-vehicle probably pollutes in 1 year what 1 out of tune 82 Volvo that some tree-hugger drives to some I-Hate everything rally in one day!

Well, the ATV and snowmobile companies have known about the future bans for a long time. I believe it was back in 95 or 96 that the EPA announced what years the bans were going to take affect. That is why you see Redline snowmobiles coming out with several production 4 stroke snowmobiles in the next few years. The ATV side of things seems to have noticed and are not producing many new 2 strokes anymore. It won't be long before snowmobiles do the same thing.
