I agree with sparky the 250 is no power house but it can still beat the blaster... And the rider makes a huge difference also...

 

Whoever thinks a 250ex can beat a blaster in a drag race is smoking some serious s***

 

If you put a 90 year old 500lb person on the Blaster and a a pro rider on the 250EX you might have a chance. If the guy on the blaster knows how to shift at all he would win.

 

thunder this post is about a guy who owns a 250EX with a pipe kit stating that he got wooped by a blaster so quite try to stand up for honda the legacy has died in sport quads. They still have a great quad a 250R that they used to make but thats about it. Since "the great" 400EX there has been atleast 10 quads that will not beat it including a Z400 which is same price more power. The only person i could see buying a 400EX who want high performance would be the people who can't afford a new Z so they buy a used EX or i diehard honda fan. hey great new quad, a new forman lol.

There is nothing wrong with the 250EX tho its a great bigginer quad for people who don't want a clutch

i agree with yfzracer the 250ex is a great beginner quad, but just doesnt compete with blasters. the 2 strokes always prevail.

 

I think blasterdude and yfz make a very good point.The 250ex is designed for beginners or someone who doesnt want the hassle af adjusting a chain or using a clutch.For this group of people it is a great bike.The blaster is geared more towards performance since it is a 2 stroke,chain drive clutch bike.So dont be too discouraged about getting beat by the blaster,they are 2 completely different machines.

The blaster will BEAT the 250ex and the 300ex in a drag race.....I dont see why a lot of 250ex guys on here try to make theyre machines out to be something there not...They are a great machine and are definitly a great first quad or moving up from a mini,but they will never beat a blaster in a drag race or any other kind!

 

well i still think my z250 will knock your 250s out in a stock race

 

The 250ex is a perfect quad for my brother.....The kind of person that doesnt ride all the time and doesnt like having to mess with it when hes not riding....They like doing donuts jumping and just messing around..They are the 250exers
