Receiver Mounted ATV Hauler
#2
yup. I purchased a Louisiana guard dog devise for transporting my bike. I love it, one of the best purchases I've ever made. It fits into my hitch receiver and locks onto the ball on my foreman by means of a coupler that you normally would see on a trailer. Makes it alot eaiser for loading and unloading your bike, and no more tie down straps to frig with. It's great for short bed trucks or if you have a tool box on your truck like I do! you can check it out at guard dog or I can send you pics of mine if you like.

Well, I was wondering about those too, glad to hear they work, but I was wondering about the hauler that you slide into your receiver hitch and you put your ATV on it. The things extend about four and a half feet behind your truck, and the ATV rides crossways behind the truck, eliminating the need to put the ATV in the bed, or to use a trailer with wheels. They are advertised in the back of most of the ATV magazines, Versa Haul makes one, and I even saw one that is electric. It lowers itself to the ground, you drive your ATV on it, and then it raises itself 18 inches off the ground. I actually built one, you can see my full post in the Hunting forum, I was looking to see if anyone has one of the commercial ones to get an idea of how those work.
