Honda had Marty Hart Kaw had White what was the first name? they were the top guys on 3 wheels Suziki had Gary Denton for 2 years.
Suzuki has several off road teams on dirt bikes and supports a desert quad. Suzuki also has contengency money for any rider in certain events. Kaw still has a rider in the Pro class and will have a rider in the Pro-pro class of gncc next year. I am not sure if the KFX will be what they run in that class but they are racing it under the Team Chevy KAW banner. C-dale offers the most support as of now but Suzuki has the most money avalable to the riders. The only Honda GNCC rider was Scott Summers and he rode for years but they do support a full factory desert bike team.
Suzuki has talked w/ a few riders about GNC and GNCC ( I have a friend who sponcers some of the riders ) the concern with them is the same as Honda about law suits. The Z400 was going to be a Quad Racer but the lawyers said no way so the name Quad Sport was used.
Honda has stayed well away from anything ATV racing for years, they were asked about ATV racing a few years back and their response was a very big NO.
Now if ATV racing becomes a valid marketing tool that may all change but ATV racing is very very small as of now. I know we see 500 riders and such but over all it is a drop in the buckett.

it was Jimmy White, if I remember right...

It is unfortunate that Kawasaki "suspended" their GNCC race team this year, or did they just pull the KFX250R away from Yokley (after the third round)? Either way, Yokley isn't riding for Team Green right now, but who knows about next year. Personally, I would like to see a move towards the Pro Production class, then kill off the Pro class, then a couple years later rename the Pro-Production class just the "Pro" class. I bet that is the direction that Racer Productions is going towards.

Does Honda field any kind of GNCC team now that Summers is gone? Does Campbell or Staab (is he recovered yet?) ever ride the east?
