on the left side of the casing it will tell you how many mL i think or something like that

 

I know this is an old post, but FYI the filter screen in the Recon/250EX requires the cases split in order to clean. Defiantly not an easy task, not as easy as just pulling the front cover off. The dealer told me that this filter is only cleaned if the engine is tore apart for mechanical problems.
