I am looking to puchase a pipe come the first of the year, but i'vew heard nothing on theis one yet. Any advice on other pipes would also be nice. thanks guys!

I haven't seen any tests or reviews of the ProCircuit pipe as of yet. I have however seen the White Brothers pipe as get a lot of good reviews.

 

yeah that is the one i got my eye on right now but, would like to see what is out there, its not the cheapest investment.

How about the DMC pipe and exhaust. I would thing with two separate pipes the motor should breath better Plus the double barrel looks cool on the bike too.

 

Has any body used the Al Baker pipe? I have ridden a few bikes with their engine & pipe kits. Their website says they have a 400ex pipe, http://www.xrsonly.com/

 

I have a 2000 400ex and i put a DMC Dual exhaust on it about a month after i got it. It's awesome. My buddy has the big gun and i beat him pretty good. I had to go up to a 160 main jet, aftermarket air filter, and 6 1" holes in the airbox lid. Definately worth the money, i could feel a huge difference right away and it sounds great. Good luck! If i had to look at another pipe I'd probably check into the Yoshimura pipe.

 

was that the complete system or just the pipe? how loud is it compared to the big gun? how is the price compared with the white bros. e-series pipe?
oh by the way when you upped the main jet to 160 did you change the pilot too?

I'm right there w/ you Jeaner...i had the pro-circuit ordered last month but it did not come so i called and they told me it would be at least the 1st of the year before i got it....that was told to me by pro-circuit themselves...therefore i cancelled my order on that pipe and went to the trinity pipe...its supposed to be here wednesday or thursday...i'll let you know how it works out...the price of the trinity was 259.00 for the head pipe and the silencer...that being the chrome head pipe and polished silencer....the guy at trinity told me that it produces more hp than the white bros and the white bros cost 100 bucks more...also on the pro circuit...the owner of magic racing told me that he has been getting a lot of complaints on the pipe ...people saying that it is just louder that anything else and the can't ride anywhere federal or places that have sound checks...he said its just basically a straight pipe...no spark arrestor...
