Thinking about getting some new tires for my 99 MAG. I am deciding between goodyear mudrunners and mud machine's bi-tri claws. I ride on gravel roads alot, a lot of grass, quite a bit of mud, snow, a few rocky areas, and very little (rarely) blacktop highway.Which tire will give me the best for my money? How much are they. My polaris dealer wants $500 for the mudrunners and that is with out rims! I told him "yeah right"! Also, can I use stock rims on the bi-tri claws? If I can't they are out of the question.

You can use your stock wheels with the Claws on the 25" and 26" but not the 27" magnum series.

Why is this in the Honda fourm? It should be in the Drivetrain, Suspension, & tire fourm.

Derek I hope you plan on getting the smaller size tire, so it doesnt sap anymore power from your already poor power transfer system!!! Good luck and Shwarcks are idiots, you should try the Polaris dealer in rock falls! see ya

I'm don't have a PhD or anything but I don't think that Ranger's comment was meant to be a friendly one. Hey, what are you saying, A Magnum doesn't have power or something? rephrase that for us won't you? What do you ride, a Honda? No offense Honda Owners.

Hey man, what size are your stock rims? I'm not sure is the tri claws are made to fit most rim sizes or just 12, I know vampires and most other tires now come in 27X12-10,11,and 12. I would go with the claws though, Never seen either tire but everyone seems to like the claws.

Sure it was friendly, what wasnt friendly about it? I was telling him to get the smaller tires so they dont sap power from his Polaris, can i ask you a question what the H#LL is this doing in the Honda forum? And no S##T you dont have a PhD, where do you get off saying that it wasnt friendly? Words dont convey as much as tone of voice or facial expression, so dont judge me by my reply, and for your info i do ride a Honda, maybe that is why i am in this forum!

Mag 500,as for Ranger suggesting that you get the smaller tires so they dont sap power from your poor powered system 500 Magnum, dont worry one bit.My larger, well powered 99 Sportsman has 26 inch Mud Runners all the way around. With the big 500cc engine, thats more engine than you'll ever need to push the bigger Mud Runners. They will fit on stock rims also. The Mud Runners are an excellant chioce, you wont be disappointed.====BILL
