400ex jet kit and advanced timing key....
#1
I have a 400ex and am looking for some more power in mid-top end. I dont want to spend alot right now. I have heard sparks racing timing advance keys work well. I was planning on getting on of those and if I order a K&N jet kit to go with a UNI filter and removed air box lid how will my power be? Is the jet kit easy enought to instal with the directions for someone who has never touched a carb before? Thanks

The jets are very easy. To change the pilot you have to pull the carb. That means plastics and tank have to come off. Be careful the screws are brass and WILL STRIP VERY EASY. The main jet is on the bottom of the carb. Turn the gas off and I think a 6mm socket will pull it out. When installing go slow and easy or the jets threads will break off. Very easy job
