It is an GREAT flier, just add a better suspension frt & Bck and you have it done, you can play with in the air, feels very light.

For race you have to do first:
1-Suspencion and wider stand.
2-You have to be in a very good physical shape.
3- Nerfbars and handlebars
4- Motor mods
5- Low profile Tires

Unless you are a top notch pro a 400EX will be one of the best choices for MX'ing. The Dales are better, but cost more, and the Z-400 is good too, but when it comes right down to it in the amature classes it's mainly the rider that's going to decide whether or not you'll do good. The EX is down on power, if you demad a lot of power (pro) but the chassis makes up for it.

440 big bore kit
Slip on muffler
Some good sprokes, and chain (the stock one likely will stretch quickly)

That's about it, unless you are a very competitive racer.

the 310 would be a good MX'er. The honda's (EX, R) handle the track very well, and chances are if you make it a 310R you'll have more into the chassis too.

BTW nice dune machines on your web site!

By the look's of the quads in your stable, i think you'd need more power from the EX, so a big bore kit, muffler, and mabey a wider stance would do. The power that a dune quad has, isn't needed in a MX quad, handling is more of an asset.
