Default 87 Honda 250X

I just picked up a fairly clean 87 Honda 250X Fourtrax. What is the best way to clean the light grey plastic?.......as it seems to have a brown tinge to it from dirt, and there has got to be a way to clean it up to get it back to the original color? I was thinking a SOS pad and simple green?.....but that might scratch the plastic a lot. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Thanks for any feedback!

Also, if anyone knows, what size rear tires were stock on my 87 250X Fourtrax?

An SOS pad will work great as long as you take it easy. Or maybe one of those bug pads?

Stock tires were 22's.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Moto93 for the response! Another question for anyone that knows. What were the OEM rear rim size for my 87 Honda 250X? What is a good all terrain OEM replacement tire for my 250X?.........medium priced, front and back? Any suggestions?

Thanks for the feedback!

Put Razrs on the front and back, you'll be happy you did. They run about $55 a tire.

dude i have the same bike and year and i know what you mean. you can go with the s pads but if you want a "new" set of plastics your best bet is to have them wet sanded and buffed. my best friend is a car detailer and he was trying some stuff on day and i saw how good it was coming out and he had to do the hle bike. now i just had another friend that is an artist draw flames on the front fenders and im in the process of cutting them out
