Any problems with 400EX
you need to do some research.
the Z400 is faster, lighter, more power, better handling, has a t-shaped seat, reverse, and you get huge h.p gains with little mods compared to the EX.I ride with someone that has one and there is no comparison,i happen to like honda but the EX is old tech(no offence honda owners)if you are getting one soon i HIGHLY recommend the Z.and don't take my word for it, go to the suzuki forum.and i have no problems
(except when i crash)the Z starts right up where the EX u need to play with the throttle to keep it idling.if you are going to get one in the next 10 years then WAIT for the 440 ex which has not been confirmed as of yet.

If "junkkkkk" means outperforms the EX in every possible way, then yes the Z is "junkkkkk".
The only excuse someone could possibly have for buying a new 400EX is that they are cheep. Honda is loosing so many sales to the Z, they are nearly giving the 400EX away these days.

Even though I am an "EX" owner and love the machine, I would buy the KFX if I was buying new now. For roughly the same price you get more power, just as good handling, reverse, and liquid cooling (helps when you really start modding). The only thing that would worry me is the recent posts regarding frame breakage. I would hope this isn't a trend with the machines.

I've had my 400 ex for about 6 months now. I haven't had any problems so far. It has proven to me that it can take a beating and keep going. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's not liquid cooled and that it doesn't have reverse. I wouldn't trade in my bike for anything. But if I was a new buyer I would look at all my options. Keep in mind though that HONDA engines have stood the test of time.
