Hello , I just bought my duaghter a 300EX today. She has ridden in the past and done dirt racing on little 80's but hasnt ridden in years . She is 16 and intersted inr acinf. What kind of racing can be done with a 300EX and will the machine be competitive? We line in the middle of the desert between AZ and San Diego and have access to wide open desert. Also what additions or modifiacations can I do to it to make it go faster? What are the top speeds? Thanks

The 300ex has great potential. I built up one
For a friend of mine. We put a White Brothers
cam and valve springs, DG exhaust, jetted up the carb.bypassed the reverse rev limiter.
It runs great. We are thinking about installing a big bore kit.

Kasey,

Ya better let her get competent on that new ride in stock condition first. Then add in all sorts of mods to make it scream!

Most of the bolt on stuff will add low and mid range torque. Then you can move on to the wilde side.

For the two I have we did the bolt on stuff, pipe, K&N, jets, opened the air box and changed the throat to one for a 350X. Same size outside but begger inside.

Merry Christmas!
