300EX and Snow

You would not run in Two Feet of Fresh Powder around here!
We have a tough time in 8". One area that needs watching is the rear brake disk assembly. They will ice up on ya after a bit of time in the snow.
Well fresh powder may be easier than 8" set up. That was real tough. The top was crusted and you would break through. Made it real tough to get anywhere.

You guys talking about going thru 2 ft snow on a 2wd 300ex?My 4X4 Sportsman could'nt handle that amount and it's equipped with 26'Mud runners to.It also weighs more.I'd really like to see that.Anyways,im not calling anyone a lier cause I dont really know.It just sounds like alot of snow for a light 2wd to handle.Merry X-MAS TO ALL=======BILL

I think it all depends on the type of snow. My friend has a 300EX with the Realtor rear tires. He thinks they are pretty good in snow.

I have seen 300EX's, 400EX's, 450s's and many other quads like my 200SX go fine threw 1.5 feet of fresh power, even up 15% steep loggin roads.. wet snow your REAL lucky to go threw 1 foot as you get hi-centered. Packed snow I have gone down snowmoble roads that have 20 feet packed on them just like they were paved,, even on my XR

Yes, it depends on the snow 100%! only a super light power can get pushed away by the skid plate and pack enough so the quad wont hi-center. Anything near 1 foot of wet snow makes it TOYOTA time
..but yes at 20 degrees or below and a fine power with a good base, 2 feet can be tackled
