Default New Rincon Last Night...

I just picked up my new Rincon last night,
I had a 02 Rubi that i sold and wanted the new 650. Anyone done any performance mod's or lift kits?
Has anyone put on a Warn 2500lb winch yet? If so what brackets did you use, etc..? It has 2.5miles on it.
Any words of advice of what i need to pay any special attention too? Any do's or don'ts?
Any and all info greatly appreciated!!!

Default New Rincon Last Night...

rollin,

My neighbor sold his foreman 400 last week and just yesterday picked up a new Rincon and when I was talking to him he had already put 31 miles on his.

This is what he wrote before I talked to him:

"I got it, it is extremely smooth, great ride, shifts like a car, handles much better that my foreman did/ has about all you could ask for, am not a bit sorry that I traded,"

I think I am going to go over to his house today and check it out. Might also take some PICS and post them.

Chet

I've had mine for about six weeks.I'll be soon adding 26 inch Outlaw Radial Mudders all the way around and a 60 inch plow. The ride is second to none, smooth as they come.Power deleivery is good. You dont need a low gear with the big 650 powerplant.Turning is excellant.Brakes are very good.

Downside?I wished it had better engine braking, but I can live with what its got for my riding style. Also wished it come with a locker mode, lucky me,so far,I have'nt needed it.

Advice?
break it in slow and warm it up.

Thanks for the info guys, I finally got to take it out yesterday, WHAT A BLAST!!!
rode only about 12-15 miles don't remember what my trip od say's...
really smooth machine, sure wish it had the engine braking feature when you let off the gas like my old Rubi did.It did seem to shift a little different at times like it couldn't make it's mind if it wanted 2nd or 3rd gear?
thanks,

Default New Rincon Last Night...

I just returned from Colorado with my new Rincon on an Elk hunting trip, I thought I would report my impressions of the machine. I have hunted with 300's, 400's, a 450 ES, and a Rubicon in the past. I installed a high altitude jet in the 400's and 450ES and they ran fine after that. The Rubicon I did not install a HA jet in and it ran fine. The Rincon required taking off the breather top above 7,500 ft. then it ran fine. Sounded like a car running with a header, instead of mufflers, with unlimited power. I gave a kid a ride up a mountain back to his ATV, he said, man this rig is cool, I want one of these. The ride was excellent, I never thought I would get that good a ride up a steep 8-mile trail, but the Rincon delivered. Downhill breaking not as good as the Rubicon, but not a problem. I killed a yearling bull and brought it down the mountain on the front rack of the Rincon. I probably had 250 pounds tied on with it's front legs tied on one side back to the back rack and the back leg's tied on the other side the same way. I used the front rack because I had a steep incline to traverse for a short distance. I had no problems with this arrangement. Overall I was very pleased with the Rincon and especially the ride. I am not getting any younger and that ride was very important to me. The power was unlimited, the hauling power also. We pull a heavy cart with two Elk at a time, and this was not a problem. In conclusion, I was very impressed, and several others with various brands were just as impressed, I will certainly keep it, and next year I feel like more Rincons will be on that mountain. Good riding.

I forgot to add the information about the tires I used in the above reply. I had 27 inch Blackwaters that I had used on the Rubicon. I bought two new front wheels and mounted the 9-inch wide blackwaters all the way around, on the Rincon. The tall narrow tires go better in the deep snow I encounter above 7000 ft. These tires were excellent, but after three years on them I am donating them to my son, and casting my eyes at 27 inch Kenda Bearclaws. Good riding.

Hey Muddy4life, let us know how those Outlaw Radials ride compared to the stock Rincon tires. I too am looking to change tires and have been looking at the Outlaw Radials. I don't want to change the smoothness of the ride much.

I just got my rincon and absolutely love it. It is like no other out there. I have the warn 2500 winch and bought the attachments through http://www.aluminumproducts.com/aluminum/
I bought the Stik-Gard for the Rincon and the Hook Holster that also includes the winch mounting plate. These are very nice products and mount with ease. They fit perfect and I had it all done in an 1.5 hours. This was the only products I could find available for the Rincon at this time and I am glad I came across them, because I wouldn't of had found anything nicer. Check the site out and be sure to look at the hook holster for you don't have to buy the whole winch kit and can get just the mounting plate and front guard. Stik-Gards are very nice to have for extra protection also.

It is nice to see all you guys have good and positive remarks on the rincon. It is really nice to see this cause I sold my 400 foreman to buy a new rincon but they are not here in Canada yet. In the mean time I had my mind changed didnt know what to do, didnt know what to buy so I got a Kawasaki for a real good deal which I couldnt pass up knowing if I would trade it I would still be money to the good so I bought it waiting for the rincon. All the negative feedback that I read in the past really disappointed me from buying the rincon, but now seeing all this positive remarks I cant wait for them to get here so I can trade this Kawasaki. Keep all the positive words going guys cause I think there was alot more than me that was turned away.
