400EX something fried?

Default 400EX something fried?

New Honda guy here....have a 2000 400EX .....while replacing all the plastics.....had to cut the 4 wires going to the ignition switch to get the igniion key into the new plastic....after re connecting the wires.......no juice........checked the battery ...it has a full charge....no power getting to the lights......no power going anywhere......any electrical gurus out there......Im about ready to push it off a bridge!!.......John

did you double check the wires?
and fuses?
mabe you forgot something......




did you cut all the wires at once,
or one at a time?

are there fuses somewhere?...........actually the wires had been cut already........i just removed the wirenuts...........and yes i checked them 10 times.........

there are fuses on the quad,
probably near the battery...........
I had to change a fuse on my 400 because i got to many neons on it

i'll go look where they are and get right back to you......

on second thought it's raining like a ****.
i'm not going out in that $h!t
the fuses should be there somewhere........

Hey thanks alot.....checked the fuse....15A........and it was blown.....I didnt even know there were fuses on this thing...thanks for your help.........

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]why did you cut the wires????!!! every wire has a connector in it. you disconnect the wires, and then just pop the ignition thingy out.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
