440ex Weak?
I would guess that when you try to tighten up the bolts the head will still leak. This is just a guess. On the exhaust, less discs more bottom end, more better top and mid. I don't anything about the K&N jet kits, but the if using stock the main should be about 165. If you were drag racing that is enought to get the engine hot. When I get done riding and stop sometimes I can smell the oil like it is burning. I make sure that it is jeted correct and I run good 50/50 gas.

I agree, that 170 just felt a touch rich. Do you mean a keihn 165 or a dyno jet 165 though. I know nothing about keihn except how to take em apart and work on em. I know that mikuni jets are rated by flow (165=165cfm err something), dyno jets are rated by hole diameter (165=1.65mm or somthing). Keihn, I have no idea.

Yes I am talking the Keihn jets (stock ). Put a 165 main and a 42 pilot with the clip in the middle. Take the airbox lid off or prop it up in the front. and see how this make it run. Mix the gas 50/50 or use some octane boost, but only get the kind that comes in a metal can or bottle. If it comes in plastic te octane has leaked though the palstic.

you had a good point about the head studs it happened to me.....no big deal took it to my dads friend who works for d&m racing and fixed her for me....now i have the sparks 92mm 14:1 piston...i had to get the head o-ringed because it has so much compression it wouldnt seal with juts a copper head gasket

I prefer to drag race on a 3 mile flat peice of ashpalt with a nice yellow line used to mark lanes, no wheel spin just have to know how to ride without wheeling over in the first 3-4 gears. No one can dispute top speed either. Exspecially when highway patrol is coming up the other end. Opp's, hide the beer boy's and get some pictures of this.
Steve we now know that my 99 EX is faster than your 02 Banshee, sorry I never stuck around to see what the cop had to say but $105 fine and only 78 mph poor Steve.
See you next weekend. lol
TRX 465 Wouldn't a 400ex with a billet clutch and a turbo be much more reliable and just as much power?
You could add NOS with the Turbo also?
