Yea, but with a few mods, it will kill all of them quads. with the new turbo, it does 0-70 in 4 sec, thats faster than a corvett. a corvette does o-60 in like 5.6 sec

NO Offense to anyone i know that the banshee has a deffinit speed advantage but speed doesn't always coun't i can't think of 1 thing that i would rather have a banshee for other than mabye dunes but even still i would want one with some major mods. i would say go with the 400 unless you plan to ride dunes all the time but even for dunes i would rather have a 250r or a DS

well lets see here i didnt get into every lil corner on what the banshees flaus are, but i know it has a heavy front end,the main reason i dont think a 400ex is good for me is because im a bigger dude im 6ft1 220lbs. and i think that the banshee can saport my weight with the 350 twin cyulender power than a 1 cylender 4stroke.. thats what i think atleast

Blake350, I just went through the same dilema about a month ago, The 400ex or the Banshee. Just to let you know I am 6' and 265 pounds. After months of research and talking to numerous friends none of which owned 400ex's but all Banshee's I actually choose the 400. Why, well let me tell you, I figured I would be riding a lot of desert trails wide open roads and tight twisty stuff and light sand, Since I live in So. Cal you have to include sand in the equation with Glamis only being 3 hours away. The banshee did not fit my riding style, I am not an on the pipe every second I am out there rider. I wanted something I could haul on and also something that I could cruise around on when the wife and I go out riding. With the Banshee there is a fine line for cruising. The water pump does not kick in until around 5000 rpm's or something like that( dont qoute me) so they will over heat fast. This statement came from 2 banshee owners, this is not an assumption. And even though the MSRP is cheaper on a 400 you can get a Banshee cheaper, About $200, just because the demand for the 400ex is so great they will not really deal on them, I paid 6400 out the door from Chaparral and Mission Yamaha was going to sale me a Banshee for around 6200 out the door. It is up to you. In California there is also a Red sticker for the Banshee and I got a green sticker on my 400. This will not matter to you if you do not live or ride in California though. I am very happy with the decision that I made. Do your homework and make your own decision. You do not want to spend 6k and regret it. Hope this helps.
