I got my '93 Honda 300 4x4 brand new, I've ridden it countless hours, and on every ride I find at least a couple 3-foot-deep mud puddles to chug through, and I've never had a problems with the drums. In fact, I haven't even had to replace the shoes yet! And I can lock up all four tires whenever I want. In my oppinion that means the drum brakes are holding up and workin pretty well.

I locked all 3 up on dry pavement by simply grabbin the left handlebar rear brake on my friends 400 foreman, had to grab the frount brake to get that last one to lock due to the drive train. Compaired to the blasters drums, and pos rear disk the hondas drums work great
