choke flips up in 400ex when driving...

Default choke flips up in 400ex when driving...

.. but only when reving at full throttle, or acellerating fast( full throttle) would a lean or rich condition cause this? Power is strong through the whole powerband, and no sputtering or anything thats not normal. thanks for the help.

no, it's not normal... do something to hold the choke lever down....

rubber band, sticky substance on the hinge, etc.

something

mine is a little loose too, but I've never found it in the up position

I would go along with DSAPP's idea of a rubber band. That is what we had to do with my 200x and it worked just fine.

I got a 400ex carb with a jet kit if you are interested in a different one. lol
