I was just wondering if I put a FMF Megamax 2 with the header pipe on my 00 300ex would i have to rejet the carb? Tomorrow im going to pick up some nerf bars but I wasnt sure about the pipe because of the rejeting, if it doesnt have to be rejeted than im going to buy the pipe tomorrow, thanx for any replies.

 

To get the most out of that pipe you also gotta treat both ends of the engine. Meaning that you should change the air cleaner to say a K&N and then you must jet it.

Jetting is nothing to be so afraid of. They cost all of $4@ and you may only need to change the main anyway. Very easy to do.

One other thing that you can do without spending a forutne is to order the throat for a 350X. Same as the ATV except it is larger inside diameter. Again allows even more breath through that engine.
