After riding the Yamaha Kodiak 4x4 and the Honda Rancher ES 4x4 and picking the Rancher at my local dealer,i was wondering if anybody has tested their Rancher against the Y2K Yamaha Big Bear 2x4 or 4x4.Dirt Wheels recently picked the Kodiak over the 450 ES in a shootout so i went to my nearest dealer who carries both brands and first rode the Rancher and then the Kodiak, after a short ride on the Kodiak i felt that the Rancher was a much nicer machine in terms of power, ride and smoothness and most importantly egronomics.

Your right , the Rancher is the nicer of the two for comfort in ride and handling .

ithink they both suck becasuse i have a banshee 630cc and its better in mud than ether of those bikes . what do you think would win in a race my banshee or a rancher 4x4or 2x4 or a big bear? can your rancher do donuts on ice because i hear there pretty gutless
p.s my banshee runs on alchol

Hey banshee guy.....no one was talkin bout sport quads in here...and there is no way a little 2wd banshee could go through mud better than any 4wd unless its like 2 inches deep

Basically, the Kodiak won in all categories. It is liquid cooled, and it rode better and handled better, has a 2wd/4wd mode, and was just more of a sport/utility machine than the Foreman was.
