I believe you, you probably could "geta F"!! Good jobs are going to become harder to get in the future. Work hard and do the best you can in school. There's no future in asking "would you like fries with that?"
I could geta F

don't be foolish and keep those grades up. I had my share of issues at the age of 16-17 and have paid the price.
For starters, I had some issues with my step-monster (mother) adn found myself kicked out of the house. I had to go live with my mother who didn't have the financial means to support me at the time.
I had a science teacher that accused me of stealing some magnesium and dropped me from an A to a C-. I had the proof of who stole it, but he wasn't interested. This taught me to keep better company. I also harmlessly got even with him.
By getting "kicked out" of the house, I lost a lot of friends because I didn't have the toys (wheelers, boats, snowmobiles) and found more trouble in school with former friends and fighting. Guess they weren't really friends after all.
I lost all hope in the school system and didn't care. I let my grades drop to 5 F's on my last progress report. I dropped out.
Married at 17 had 2 kids and divorced 2 1/2 years later. This is where I hit rock bottom. Depression, suicidal, and just plain didn't give a damn about anything.
Found another girlfriend and dated for a few years. We had a boy together and married 1 year later. My second son came 4 years later.
I eventually went back and got my diploma. HUGE turning point in my life.
I got a transfer with my employer and a 50% increase in pay as a result. Now I am making double my wages from before the transfer, live on a golf course, have 4 kids that do well in school, and a wife that stood by me during some very hard and trying times.
What I'm trying to say is that you should be appreciative of what your parents are doing for you. I was a bone head and thought that I was making the right decision. I found out otherwise. I payed the price for many years and worked my tail off to get where I am now. You only have a few years left and then you can live your life. Get your education out of the way first. You'll have many years to enjoy life after. It was said earlier that you need a better education to get a decent job these days and that is very true. I got lucky to make over $40K/year for being a "drop-out" in a skilled position.
