I'm demoing a technology on the forums that's intended to increase the speed that the pages load. I have free use of the technology for 30 days after which time it's $1,500.00 to purchase.

Have you noticed if the forums are loading faster?

If so, on a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being the fastest:

1) How fast would you rate the page loading prior to yesterday (Sat, Dec 21)?
2) How fast would you rate the page loading now?

The best way for me to describe the load would be before you could see it line by line loading on the page, top going to bottom . A 4 or 5

Now the page snaps in place. Now its an 8. On dial up I am not sure if it will be ever be as fast as someone would like.

The main thing is if people on slower connections will find the speed on par with the better or best sites they visit. If we can hit that mark, then we've created an environment where people are focused on talking and not worrying that pages are slow. I didn't ever think they were slow before but it's all relative.

Thanks for the info.

I find that my connection varies.Sometime I log on early in the morning before I go deer hunting and it seems to be quicker, then again I could be in still somewhat in lala land. Sometimes I just give up.

Why is it if I type"www.forums.atvconnection.com" instead of "forums.atvconnection.com" I get an a message stating that there is error?????? I remember when I first joined I couldn't get in for a few days because I typed in that address and figured the site was down.By luck I typed in the address w/o the "www".

What I am doing right now is going from top to bottom or Trinity racing all the way down the list to Utility ATV's.

With as many people that are on right now it is improved.

On the ad banner's as long as the banners are hosted by you or I guess that is what you are doing they page like I said snaps it place. I an not sure how you have the Ad banners rotating form your host to doubleclick.

I have a DSL connection and before I would rate the speed of the pages loading a 6.

The pages load alot faster than they normally did. I would say it has changed to a 9.

Biggin,

http://forums.atvconnection.com is on one server and https://atvconnection.com is on another. As you found out, putting www in front of forums doesn't work!

I don't know....I've never had a problem with the load times.

At work I'm on T1 and it's pretty fast, and at home on Dial-up it's not much slower.
