I have a question for you all.If a person had a decked out 250R (PV Motor,Tr Rate Shocks,all the good s*it)how long do you think it will still be THE QUAD to own?I know it still is but what if Honda came out with a 450 Sport ATV would you still rather have a decked out R?Of course im asking that question because i have a butload of $$$ into my R and want you all to make me feel better LOL. late,zubbeyboy

 

They'll never be obsolete. I rode a pretty built 440EX last weekend and then got back on my 250.. Sooo much faster it's unreal.

 

The 250R will never be obsolete unless the Manufacturers mysteriously pull their heads out of their ***** and build another 2 stroker full RACE quad!

But they'll have to overcome the fear placed upon them from the enviro-natzi's and attorneys!

GIVE US A FULL RACE QUAD!!!!!! NO MORE THUMPER SPORT MACHINES!!!!!!

dirtwheels has an artical on the new 250r ..............

looks just like a 400ex but on the tank reads sportrax250r...
they said it weighs 60 pounds lighter than the 400ex.............

 

I new 250r would be nice, I too am sick of thumpers. There is nothing like the sound and smell of a 2-stroke an MX track, it screams excitement!

You guy's sure it's not just the 250X???? Sounds reasonable to be 60# lighter than the 400EX...

I absolutely refuse to buy into the idea of a mass produced 2 stroke Honda until I can slap down the checkbook and buy one!

CR250EX??? Anytime I see "X" on any designation.... I smell 4-stroke! Also, why would they call it a 'sporttrax'??? the word Sport smells like 4-stroke too!

I'd be alot more excited if they called it a 'racetrax' or TRX250R (R for RACE!)

I don't trust dirtwheels, and have stopped suscribing to their steadily declining magazine... so I say 'prove it' before you let the hype get out of control!

Basically, I'm saying don't give me a woodie over a 'concept' that never comes to fruitation!

Here is good one dose it seem that about every where you ride any more some one pulls up and wants to race your 250R. They read these mag rag and think that there all new quad is the fastest on the planet. So they pick out a 250R with the idea I can out run it cause the mag said it will. Then they leave with there head down. They clame new water cooled motor for 2003 we had that in 1986. High horse power dule over head cams (400cc) still produce less hp than our 250cc. The 250R's are so far ahead the other quads they think they are in the lead but we are just geting ready to lap them.
