Everyone who does some inexpensive mods to the 250R realize the HP numbers jump dramatically. You rejet, put a better pipe on, install a K&N, get rid of the air box lid and you're power to weight ratio is at the top of the list.

 

i have a raptor that was built by lrd and is pulling a real 54 hp and will run for the hole shot against and 330. also there is no way that any 250r is running over 100 hp including packard. at sand fest he ran a 4.1 and dtr ran a 4.4 dtr is only running about 75 hp and is still running a stock chassis while packard has a drag chassis so if he has 116 hp then he is losing a lot some where and he is probrably measuring it at the crank rather than the rear wheels where it matters.

 

Hmm how easy do you think it is to drop 3/10's? Surely you dont think 25 horses will drop 3/10's of a second! Packard does run 116 horses, his dyno says it does. Its a chassis dyno as well. 116 horses is possible. My bike is nothing as elborate as his bike and im running just shy of 100 horses (97). 116 is easily attainable. Especially when it is rumored that he is running nitro.

 

thats what i'm saying is 25 hp should drop more than 3/10 and i'm sure his bike is much lighter. what kind of mods do you have done and claim 97 hp? probrably not. what kind of drag times are you running?

 

briansgi, your hp numbers are pretty jacked up, but since you jacked it up for all of em atleast its fair.
For example, a blaster has 16, a warrior 18, a 250r 27, a 400ex 25-26, a raptor 34, a banshee 34, etc....

 

my raptor before i built the motor with just a pipe would beat any 250r that was anything less than a 270 with a pipe and good porting.

 

a raptor with a pipe and jet kit will run with a banshee that has pipes and k&ns

 

no, 25 hp should not drop more then 3/10's so your saying that (assuming 75 horses can run a 4.4 and 25 hp can improve 3/10's) Here are a few numbers for you

125hp@3.8
150hp@3.5
175hp@3.2 (which happens to be a WORLD record for atv's)
200hp@2.9
ect. ect.

Fastest bike in the country runs a 3.1 i beleive at a rumored 750 horsepower with 3 stages of nitrous and 1600cc's of computer driven. Your facts are wrong. As a drag racer i know it takes a lot more then 25 hp to start getting into the really low numbers. My honda is 425cc's on methanol and runs 4.5's

Im not trying to start an argument, ive been into drag racing now for awhile and im just trying to explain facts. Dont take what i say as the wrong way. We all know how hard it is to communicated over the net and remain civilized sometimes

 

im just saying that some peoples dynos read higher than others and it apears that packards read pretty high. as for a race i would like to see ya at sand fest next year and line up against dtr racings polonda which is putting out 75-80 hp and running 4.4 every time.

 

Well guess what buddy, im going to be there. Its not going to be dtr's honda that will be the bike to beat though. Hopefully it will be our banshee that will be king cheese. But i dont have a beef with dtr, your the guy talking all the hoopla, id rather race you. Packard by far has the fastest honda in the country i would not doubt his numbers, that honda that ran a 4.1 i dont know if it was his big 580 or his smaller 440 but his 520 (now the 580) has ran a 3.8. Now, i dont doubt his numbers, i dont see why you are either.
