Whats my Recon worth?
I am wanting to sell my Recon for another bike. Its a 2001. I have all Stock parts for it except for the plastic which I cut to make it look more sporty. I have a brand new FMF MegaMax2 on it, brand new Dyno Jets, brand new K&N Air Filter, and a new NGK Sparkplug. I also Have brand new titan 18" fast treeker rear tires on Douglas .190 rims. And brand new Razar 20" front tires on Douglas .190 Rims. The frame is repainted. Brand new brakes, and a brand new EBC clutch. It's in good condition and runs great. I have all stock wheels and used stock back tires. I also have an extra set of used Dirtdevils on 11" ITP rims. What do you think my recon is worth? I am hoping to get at least 2700 for it. Sorry to write so much but I had to list everything

Then why make it chain driven if you are planning on selling?
Motorcycle, Snowmobile Consumer Pricing 1981 to 2002
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HONDA
2001
4 Wheel ATV
Model: TRX2501 FT RECON
Piston Displacement (CCs): 229
Stroke: 4
Cylinders: 1
Speeds: 5
Dry Weight: 397
Low Retail: $2,055
Average Retail: $2,700
High Retail: $2,945
Tha figure is inflated, and your aftermarket goodies will not get anymore money. The cut plastic also drops the price down. Return it to stock and sell your after market stuff separately

There is no feasible way you can make a Recon chain driven so I would forget that.
As far as the value with what you have done to the machine means little unless you could find someone who wants the machine as you have modified it.
I think you are going to be disappointed on what you are going to receive for this machine. Modifications bring much less because of the perceived abuse.
Most potential owners looking for a used machine want a total, clean, stock machine. If I were to sell my 99 all stock, 400 hour Recon I would venture I would receive more and sell it sooner.
