Recon Chain driven??
#3
Why would you want to??? You live in Louisiana, where I presume you have lots of water and mud. Not conditions where a chain holds up very well. You are way ahead with shaft drive!!!!

We've got lots of mud... but I don't really ride in it anymore. Ever heard of the spillway?? It's mud heaven. But I don't plan on going through lots of mud anymore. I'm just tryin to make my recon faster.

I want to see the first chain driven Recon.
Not sure why you would want to do that. The cost alone would be tremendous.
It just seems silly.

Money talks, but bring lots O cash when converting the Recon to chain drive.

If you want a faster bike, sell the Recon and buy a faster bike!! Or, you could try stripping off the racks and anything that isn't essential and get alloy rims, etc. That might get you into the weight range of the 250EX???
